2011 River St. Festival Music:

The 2011 River St. Festival takes place this Saturday, June 18th, beginning at 10 a.m. More than 70 food, craft, jewelery, along with a wide variety of other products, will be available up and down River St. 3 stages of music will fill the street at one of Troy's signature events of the summer season. Los Straitjackets, the USA's top instrumental rock n roll band will headline the National Stage, set up at 2nd St. & Broadway. They hit the stage at 4:40 p.m. Graham Tichy, one of the area's premier guitarist will open the day at 11 am with the Graham Tichy Project. The eclectic Neanderthals will go on at 1 p.m., followed by former MTV darlings, Blotto. 
The local stage this year will be set up on the corner of River & State St. Performing this year in the following order will be, The Ginger Brothers, Museum Guards, Simple Theory, Sly Fox & the Hustlers, with local favorite, the Joe Mele Blues Band headlining.
 A children's stage will be set up by the Arts Center, featuring a variety of  entertainment, geared towards kids.. Food, arts and crafts, great weather, and fantastic music all add up to wonderful experience. Come join us and take a, Troycation!
